Chimichurri… This is hands down the best sauce to have on our burgers. How do I make it? Its very simple.
You ll need
– lemon juice
– olive oil (taste your oil before you use it, if too strong, use half olive oil and half grapeseed oil)
– a food processor
Wash and rinse your fresh herbs. Spin it dry in a salad spinner. Check for browned leaves. Next, squash it down into your food processor and pulse it. In a steady flow, pour enough oil on top while it is on the lowest speed. For a full load, before I pulsed it, I use about three quarters of a cup of oil. Put in one to three cloves of garlic, a few generous pinches of salt and the juice of one to two lemons. Voila! You ve made a delicious herb drizzle to go with your salad, wheat meat or anything you choose.
– kale + parsley
– basil + kale
– carrot tops + spinach
Possibilities are endless.
As you all know, we have been working on getting new premises for Tea n Happiness. Its been a long search, but finally we have found the perfect spot. It is not in town, but on the outskirts, on SH5 across from Skyline Gondolas and Mini Golf Rotorua, next to Amokura Glass. Our neighbours are Skyline Fruit n Veg shop and Rotorua Canopy Tours. Yes, we are moving into the old butchery shop!
I m greatly inspired by Mt Ngongotaha and to be situated so close to it, makes my heart sing with joy.
Work on this project is starting this week and I hope you will understand why we can not continue with deliveries. We will resume our delivery service once we have moved in and are ready to launch it again.
In the meantime, come see us at the Rotary Market at Kuirau Park – Saturday mornings . We love seeing you and meet all the new customers! We serve Happy Burgers, Bliss Burgers, Happy Jacks and Happy Salads. Our Heavenly cashew nut cheese cakes are also for sale. (They sell out very fast!)
Steadily I ll bring more and more deli plantbased food items to the market. I ll keep you posted on this.
Warm regards Karin
